Dose Aesthetics became my mission for several reasons and is fueled by great passion.

In the aesthetics industry, people are often told how many units of neurotoxin or how many syringes of filler they need based on generalized recommendations and with minimal patient education. Over-generalized recommendations lead to patients feeling pressured to do more than they are ready for.

Every single person is different including their goals and what works for them. I believe it is imperative to provide safe, effective and quality care. I believe it is also important to listen to my patients and develop an approach that is unique and tailored specifically to each individual. The right dose isn’t the same for everyone.

A wonderful mentor once told me that he never goes into a case with the same plan. No two people are the same, so each individual needs to be treated differently using a customized approach.

Each encounter I have with a patient is unique even if it is the same patient. The “right dose” may fluctuate at each appointment with careful assessment upon each injection, which is key to achieving the best result.

Too much of anything is a bad thing. We need balance. We need the “right dose” of everything that we allow in our life to make it a fulfilled and purposeful one.

I choose this field for many reasons. First and foremost, I chose to be a nurse for reasons I hold dear to me and am often reminded why it’s a truly incredible and humbling career.

I chose aesthetics for personal reasons as well. I have personally battled with insecurities and body image issues for as long as I can remember. The emotions that go along with this can be self destructive and unhealthy. I continue to work through these insecurities, but when I get the opportunity to witness my patients smile a smile that is filled with confidence and self-love, it will never become monotonous and remains a testament to why Dose is here.

The beauty in this career, this industry allows me to make a positive difference in others’ lives. With the right dose at the right time, I am able to provide safe and effective treatments that build confidence and positively impact emotional wellbeing, and that means everything to me.

I want our practice to instill a little dose of everlasting self-confidence with each and every patient encounter and experience.
